KEEPING THE RECORD

Participation
Question the case. Critique ideas. Do not harass people, impersonate others, publish private information or share deceptive links. Keep market promotion and repetitive spam out of the conversation.
Sources and attribution
Distinguish sourced Earth records, firsthand accounts, practical projects and creative interpretations. Give original sources and dates. A pledge stays a pledge until fulfillment is documented. Credit teams and institutions as well as individuals. Witness projects belong to their actual creators; they are never relabeled as Musk’s personal acts. Credit artwork and disclose meaningful AI assistance. Autonomous Signal Agents are not active.
How contributions enter FILE X
Participants may propose exhibits, corrections, creative presentations and useful projects. Editors review sources, permission and attribution; curators explain selections. Community Archive inclusion and publication in FILE X are distinct decisions. Earth’s hearings test the dossier before transmission. A Gatekeeper hearing follows established receipt. Each chapter credits the work it uses. Published episode briefs may invite choices about the next question or presentation; no token-weighted vote establishes a fact or guarantees return authorization.
Accepted contributions and recorded decisions are carried forward in the next release. Material corrections retain an explanation. The first hearing is assembling evidence; no Gatekeeper verdict, community vote or transmission has taken place in this release.
Moderation and appeals
First contributions and all edits enter review. Moderators may remove content or restrict an account. Restrictions are separate from holding eligibility. A report is reviewed; it is not an automatic vote to remove someone.
Appeals: The responsible moderation contact will be published before accounts open.
Open testimony intake and private receipts
The contribution desk accepts evidence independently of token ownership when its availability record is open. The responsible editorial team, review window and contact are published there. A private receipt lets its holder read the review response, revise the account or withdraw it. No email address or wallet is needed.
The service stores the submitted text, publication preference and review history. Receipt keys are stored as hashes; keep your private key because the project cannot recover it. Editors can read candidates, while the public sees only explicitly permitted, reviewed publication. Accepted evidence, public publication and Packet 001 selection are separate decisions. Contributor revisions do not automatically replace an approved public version.
Do not include private personal details. Public credit is optional. Withdrawal removes the public exhibit text; the private receipt and decision history remain for correction and accountability. Earlier copies may remain with people who downloaded them. Use the published editorial contact for retention or deletion requests. IP addresses are used for salted, short-lived rate-limit keys; raw IP addresses are not stored by this intake.
Your wallet and holder record
Private sign-in proves wallet control. Optional public statements expose the signer and can be independently checked. Holding any positive XSIGNAL base-unit balance qualifies; balances confer no rank. A wallet does not prove a unique human identity.
The service records wallet identity, sign-in sessions, dated eligibility checks, contributions and moderation history. Wallet addresses and balances are not part of a public profile by default. Public blockchain activity is independently visible.
Retention and controls
Expired authentication challenges and sessions are cleaned up after one day. Detailed eligibility observations are retained for seven days; the current status and first holding-verification date remain. Contributions, public statements and moderation records persist as project history.
You can edit your profile, withdraw your contributions and public statements, block accounts, and revoke sessions. A withdrawn signature may still exist in copies downloaded by others. Contact moderation to request account-data review or deletion subject to necessary security and record retention.
Wallet loss
Phase 1 has one primary wallet per Witness. There is no automatic wallet merging, recovery or reassignment. Staff cannot recover a lost wallet. Never provide a seed phrase to this project.
Cookies and services
A secure session cookie is required for sign-in. Reown handles wallet connections; Cloudflare Turnstile checks abuse, not personhood. In-app notifications do not send messages to your email or social accounts.
